The World Youth Institute was launched on 2nd October 2005 at Auditorium Kompleks Perdanasiswa, University Malaya, Malaysia by World Youth Foundation. WYi will strive to coordinate global youth-related activities, with the aim to generate benefits for youths worldwide. In August 2007, WYF became a major shareholder of WYi.
WYi poses an avenue to implement research and development (R&D) activities for all aspects and need of international youth activities. Youths of respective countries from all over the globe will gain several benefits from WYi, as it not only promotes the growth of intellect and wit, but also promotes culture, exchange of ideas and also strengthens the friendship bond.
